Increasing your investment knowledge is an important part of improving your financial situation. With hard-earned risk capital to invest, choosing the right investment advice is of the utmost importance. Television commercials often present self-proclaimed investment gurus. You may suddenly find emails in your inbox suggesting that you invest in this stock or that currency. Your close friends may have attended an investment seminar, swearing that the advice will make you rich. How do you know whose advice to trust?

The Right Investment Vehicle

The choices for investing your risk capital are numerous. Real estate investment, forex trading and business startup investment are just a few choices. It’s critical to choose an investment vehicle that holds your interest. If the thought of driving to numerous properties to view foreclosed properties exhausts you, then real estate investment may not be right for you. You might prefer to sit behind a computer and scan a variety of stock charts.

Finding the Right Investment Seminar

Once you’ve determined the right investment vehicle, it’s time to increase your investment knowledge. If you decide to trade stocks, for example, you’ll need a sound strategy. With so many investment seminars selling software, services and advice, one of the best strategies for choosing the right one is to consult with successful stock investors.

Finding the best of the best can be tricky, however. Anyone can say that they are making money and doing well. You must ask investment seminar leaders for documentation. If they are trading stocks, for example, they must present you with their trading statements for the last six months to a year to ensure that their trading strategies are effective.

In the media the terms lower class, middle class, and upper class are found. What exactly does that mean? To begin with, your economic class is the amount of money annually a person brings into a household. The reality is a person’s class is defined by other factors besides money. Economic class also involves attitudes and behaviors about life, food, and relationships. A person economically can be classified as upper class, but their behavior and attitude may be middle class. What are some of these other factors that define class? Some topics are also included in accredited online colleges for population and economics.

In any economic class, there are hidden rules. If you are of poverty, a person will know the quantity of food available, how to get someone out of jail, how to live without electricity or a phone, and good at trading or bartering. If you are of the middle class, a person will know what food is liked and the quality, how to get children into activities such as Little League, or music, what stores carry brand name clothing, have a credit card, checking and savings account, and insurances, and how to order in an upscale restaurant. A person of wealth will care how food is presented to others, have domestic staff in some form and two residences, host parties for key people, has favorite sites in other countries, and knows how to get their children into preferred private schools.

Economic class is not a clear-cut line and not about material things like how many cricket blackberry an individual has, but a matter of degrees. When a person talks, listening to their conversation about ordinary events and items tells you about their class. This awareness tells you how they perceive and approach the world as well.

Moving into a new neighborhood means meeting new people. Instead of waiting to gradually run into people as they check their mail, be the proactive one. How about hosting a neighborhood poker party to get to make new friends on your block? Set up your satellite star internet and stream videos or have a movie night at your house.

Pick a night on the weekend that works best for you. If you don’t have the basic poker set up, prepare a list of the things you’ll need. You want to start with poker chips, card decks, and selecting from a variety of poker tables. You can choose from folding or fixed poker tables. Once you’ve got the basic supplies down begin by deciding on the nature of the gathering.

You can choose from folding or fixed poker tables. Once you’ve got the basic supplies down begin by deciding on the nature of the gathering.

An open house style of party can be a good way to have people come and go within a designated time. This way they can feel less pressure to commit to a concrete arrival time. If you prefer a more definite time, consider having your poker party about 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 or 8:30 p.m. This way, people with families or those who have to get up early the next day can feel comfortable about stopping in.

Plan a simple menu with a variety of finger style foods that guest can munch on while they play and socialize. A few selections of drink gives them options to enjoy. Decide ahead of time which poker game you will be playing for the night. Popular selections include Five-card Draw, Seven-Card Stud, and Texas Hold’em.

Prepare your invitations and try to give your neighbors at least a couple weeks in advance. This way they can make any plans for babysitters or otherwise. Delivering the invites door to door is a nice way to introduce yourself and it adds a personal touch. It sets the tone for how they will perceive you as a host and friend.

Doctors and health experts recommend making numerous lifestyle changes in order to live a happier and healthier life. Sometimes these lifestyle changes are simple, such as cutting back on smoking and drinking, or exercising more, and sometimes these changes can be tough, such as reducing negativity or changing your eating habits.

While lifestyle changes will vary depending upon the individual, there are certain lifestyle changes that doctors are more likely to recommend. Here’s a look at the most common type of lifestyle changes doctors recommend.

Solve Financial Problems

Financial problems a major source of stress in many people. Many doctors will recommend getting your finances under control, which will help reduce the amount of stress you put your body under. Financial problems can be solved by creating a budget, using a Reach prepaid card, consulting a financial advisor, or reducing the temptation to overspend.

Exercise More

An increase in exercising is the number one more recommended lifestyle change doctors make to their patients. Exercising can help improve your health, regulate your emotions, reduce stress, prevent certain types of illnesses and diseases, and help you feel better overall.

Increasing your exercise can be as simple as taking a short 30 minute walk every day, to increasing your cardio and strength training. Depending upon how active you were before the doctor recommended this lifestyle change, this change can be simple or it could be difficult.

Solving your financial problems and exercising more, are the two most recommended lifestyle changes doctors make to their patients. If you make these changes in your life, you will start to feel emotionally and physically better overall.

Wealthy people aren’t like the rest of us. Naturally they have more money, but there are also other lessons we can learn from them. For one thing they plan ahead, and for another they exercise self-control more often than not. Wealthy individuals have a distinct tendency toward using their resources efficiently, and the rest of us can as well.

First off, you want to make sure you use your resources as effectively as you can. Part of that means you make sure your bills are paid and you’ve saving regularly, and then you designate money you can use for fun purposes. While you don’t want to be too stingy, it’s very easy to go overboard when it comes to spending money. This is why the Reach prepaid card is a great idea. When your expenses and your savings are in order, life gets a whole lot easier. You can then feel free to spend some of the money you’ve earned.

Once you have your money on your card, you can spend it until it’s gone without worry. Your necessary money will be where it needs to be, and your fun money will be wherever you’d like it to be. When you control your money and plan ahead, a lot of your life’s problems will no longer exist. In time, you may even begin to build some measure of wealth. At that point, a lot of your stresses won’t exist, and will be replaced by simplicity and some measure of financial sanity.

No one wants to be labeled, or put into a category, especially if the ranking or category is considered low or inconsequential. People strive to be original, and appreciated regardless of their economic, religious, or educational background. For many, prejudices develop based on class structure, which is not fair, nor appropriate for people to think.

Caste System with a Spin

Image via Wikipedia

A traditional caste system is a placement type of structure that sets people at specific levels in society. These people can be deemed lower class, or upper class, but all have a role and a job in that society. They all have purpose regardless of their caste.

Class structures on the other hand create a caste system with no purpose, and therefore can create an unconfident and defeated subculture. It is important to approach all people with the mentality that everyone has a purpose, and is deserving of a chance.

Celebrating with Others

Celebrate with others when they experience a new event, or fun time. By enjoying that time with someone else, you are able to feel like a group, not a labeled individual. Small things like winning a casino bonus, a birthday, or an anniversary are great ways to be happy for others, and share in their joy.

Take a Look in the Mirror

Take a look at who you are. Be the person that you think is the right person regardless of class, caste, or opinion. At the end of the day you have to think about yourself, so let that be key.

Teaching impaired children can often be difficult at best. Thankfully there are things like music that will help the days go by faster because they’re more fun.

Proudonline.org agrees, music has always been an important teaching tool and it seems everyone alive likes some kind of music. The repetitiveness of it, the differing beats and bass tones, and even the songs that go with the music can make things easier to memorize, whether child or adult.

For instance, all children must memorize things, beginning with their address, phone number, the way home, etc. It can be a daunting task for the child with Downs Syndrome, who sometimes feels bombarded with too much information.

Sing Your Troubles Away

Make a song of the address to be learned (and memorize the song); sing it to them and help them learn the song. Practice it a lot, every day; they love to learn songs, even if they don’t know they’re learning at the same time. Soon they can sing it all on their own and another memorizing game can be learned. Do the telephone number next.

Music is an international, inter-physical language that seems to be understood across nations, ethnicities and locations. Even some animals and insects react strongly and positively to music, making us theorize that it’s supposed to be a part of all life.

Even if the kids don’t join in the song or feel like taking part in a lesson, simply sing the song as the day wears on, and the child may memorize the song without even singing it. We never can imagine (and shouldn’t doubt) what the amazing human brain can do.

Whether your income is next to nothing or you’re making six figures or more, most people have problems managing a tight budget. If you’re struggling to pay your bills on time, buy groceries and gas, and find extra cash to pay for additional items, here are a few tips to help you out.

Use a Prepaid Card

There are many situations where using a prepaid card can help you save money and stay within your budget. With your Reach prepaid card you can set a budget that is easy to stick to. Prepaid cards don’t have any overdraft fees or interest rates, so they’re a great alternative to credit or debit cards. You get the same convenience of other cards by being able to pay bills online and keeping your money more secure.

Make a List of Priorities

When budgeting your money, it is crucial that you spend your money on the most important things first and set extras aside. Make a list of where each paycheck will used such as on bills, gas, and groceries. Pay the most important bills first, consider how much gas you actually use, and think about how much you will spend on groceries to meet your needs. If you have extra left over afterward you can use it on less necessary items or put it away in an emergency fund.

Start an Emergency Fund

Having an emergency fund can help a great deal in a financial crisis. The sooner you start to put money away, the more money you will have when you really need it. For example, if you lose your job, need car repairs, or have a large important bill, your emergency fund can help you avoid taking out a loan and keep you out of debt.

The baby boomer influence on the majority of American culture is beginning to rapidly fade. Baby boomers will continue to blaze trails in the realm of the senior citizen world, but no longer quite so much in the mainstream culture. In the last couple of years despite the Great Recession there has been a marked change in media, print, and the way business is done.

Generation X has certain ways and a style. They are realistic about life and family centered. This generation knows that jobs do not last a lifetime, that lifetime partners need to be carefully picked, and the best defense to life’s ups and downs is flexibility. Generation “X” has patience. They have watched baby boomers hold on to job positions invariably blocking their career paths for a decade. They have had to endure their parent’s generation preferences in culture longer than any generation before. Though financially they will have less money on the whole, they have enjoyed more opportunity with the blossoming of technology.

Generation Y are entering the work force and they too have their own ways and style. They have been named the Internet generation. They perceive the world differently. They have no problem changing majors, changing careers, or speaking their mind. They believe in work and life balance. Generation Y multitasks like no generation before, and they are not interested in impressing anyone. They believe in themselves and demand fair treatment, and yet have compassion for the older workers they work beside.

Together Generation X and Y are going to change American culture and push it toward simpler lifestyles and balanced approaches toward life.

When you look at statistics you find how rich America is. Our poorest compared to the rest of the world sit at the fifty percentile range. It literally means if you have nothing in the United States you still have more than half the population in the rest of the world. Survey software tools depicts that average amount Americans scrape off our plates at supper would be a meal for many. Americans have lots of possessions. America has so much stuff that it is hard to create enough landfills to take care of the stuff Americans do not want anymore.

There is this constant addiction to acquiring items. Consumerism directs us to replace items frequently even if they are just a little worn. It has to be new or replaced. It has to be the latest or somehow an American will be less if that does not happen. It has to be a certain type because only certain types count. Before you realize it you are driven into a frenzy that makes no sense.

Possessions have to be taken care of. They begin to take up all your leisure time. If every time you got something new and you obey everything the brochure tells you to do to take care of the new item, then you would never get to sleep or see your spouse or friends. Before you realize it you are a prisoner of your own possessions. By the time you take care of everything there is no time or energy left to take care of the things that really matter.

Someone needs to create for Americans a 12 step program of enough. Americans have a social disease that there is no vaccine for. Someone needs to help us.

Technology is infiltrating our lives in ways people do not even realize. Even our clothes have become smart. These smart fabrics surround us, and we do not even realize how different these fabrics are. The following is a list of the more common types.

Nomex is a smart fabric used to provide thermal protection. It is incorporated into firefighter’s gear. The mask placed over a firefighter’s head inside his helmet is known as a Nomex mask. The material is flame retardant and covers race car drivers from head to toe. Nomex has even been sent into space as part of some of the space shuttles.

The smart fabric Kevlar has been around a while and its bright metal like shine is hard to miss. Tests show it is about five times stronger than steel. Kevlar is found in body armor. It is used to reinforced any material where abrasions or cutting may happen such as gloves, jackets, and sleeves. It has saved many soldiers and police officers lives.

Synchilla is made from recycled polypropolene. Synchilla is passively smart which means it has some properties that keep the harsher elements of the environment getting to you. It is used for sports and leisure wear because of its water resistance. It is woven into fleece for jackets that are particularly popular in Australia.

Thermo-chromatic smart fabric changes color as the temperature changes. It is used in sun wear to warn of impending burning of the skin. It is in tee shirts as a novelty item for changing colors as you change environments.

Phase changing smart fabrics are cloths that absorb, or release energy usually in the form of heat. Most applications are in outdoor sporting goods such as gloves, coats, and socks. It is a way to stay warm outdoors without starting a fire.

If it feels like your clothes are helping you, they are!

Blake Mycoskie, the 32 year-old man responsible for the One for One Movement of Tom’s shoes started his venture when he travelled to Argentina and saw a lot of kids in barefoot. He knew that this is an unfortunate event for a kid not being able to own a single shoe, aside from the fact that they can carry a disease just by walking barefoot on a soil, some children can’t even go to school because having shoes is a part of the uniform. Before Mycoskie started the One for One Movement he was a college dropout who entered the laundry business and he was also running a software company. But he says that launching Tom’s shoes made him realized that he is indeed blessed. He also said that running this business is the only thing that he’s passionate about. At first he targeted helping of about 250 children in Argentina, but it turns out he brought more than he expected. He came back with his friends and family to Argentina bringing 10,000 pairs of toms for the kids.

Tom’s today is definitely a charitable brand with a very strong objective and it has reached its success for it’s now formally known all over the globe and if you’re still not aware what the One for One Movement does, it simply means one purchase of Tom’s product is equal to one shoe to a child across the globe. Anyone who purchases a pair of shoes should feel proud of being able to help one child with no shoes.

In any given culture, there are five types of registers or styles of the language. Depending on which register is being used by a person tells you the nature of the relationship of who they are communicating with. If you choose the wrong language register for the situation, it can get you in trouble. The five registers are static, formal, consultative, casual, and intimate.

Static language is the like laws, religious rituals, or the Pledge of Allegiance. It is language done usually in a group and there is little communication between the people. It is mainly reciting a belief in something. If you do not do this properly then others will frown at you.

Formal language is one-way and used at formal events. Examples would be speeches, announcements, and sentences by judges. Interjecting your thoughts here can get you a ticket to jail.

Consultative language is your standard communication in the world. It is the language used between workers, boss and employee, teacher and student. It involves the use of manners and social protocols.Inappropriate use of language here may get you fired or a reprimand.

Casual language is what is used among friends and peers. Slang, inside jokes, local sayings, and even vulgarities are shared. Using too much casual language at work or with strangers will get you fired or assaulted.

Intimate language occurs with family members and significant others. It is private and individualistic. Intimate language used in a work or more formal situation usually gets you accused of harassment. Intimate others will become angry that you shared those type thoughts with outsiders.

If you listen to two people in conversation, you can infer what type of relationship they have. It is the reason why when two people form an intimate relationship, friends and others know something is up. It is because the way they talk to each other changes. The other thing to notice is if one person is talking in one type of register and another person is talking a different register, it is a signal something is hidden, being lied about, or there is a problem.

There is a continual trend in the American culture for wanting to live in a way that helps the Earth. Its more than wanting to take care of the earth, it also involves wanting to create a lifestyle that is sustainable. If everyone in the world consumed resources at the level of an average American, in a short time there would not be enough resources for anyone. It is this realization that if this level of consumption continues then there would be nothing left for our children.

Green living is a way of thinking. Every choice a person makes and every product a person buys impacts the environment. Persons who lived through the Depression are good at green living. They are a good resource for ideas. Green living is not new. The difference is you have to make an intentional choice to live this way. It can be either your choice now or at some point it will be forced upon us because of circumstances.

Building green houses, using solar products, and conserving energy helps, but America will not transform to a green life style as a society until the average American chooses to live and work in green ways. For example if every person in America needing paper towels bought recycled paper towels for one day together, millions of trees would be saved. A small move on your part added to all the others doing a small part results in big changes in the environment.

What are some green ways? It is best to begin with small steps. Buy products with less packaging and products that come from renewable resources. Do not buy new, but try to repair or find a gently used item. Avoid using bottled water unless necessary. Instead, buy a reusable container since most water in the U.S. has few toxins and is of high quality. As you replace appliances choose Energy Star to increase energy efficiency.

The “neumensch” Nietzsche talks about in his book “Beyond Good and Evil” is coming. And it’s none other than the new generation of kids – the youth of the future. So what of the cause of this occurrence of a new era of humans? You’re using the medium right now as you read this, technology.

In our day and age, technology has become so advanced that it is now a very part of the psyche of people. It has more powerful psychological effects than even some addictive drugs – cravings, withdrawals, changes in personality. Imagine a day without access to your smart phone. The trauma of it all, how your fingers will itch to message, how you will yearn to check your emails, pine to make a status update on twitter. All of these desires will lead you to get moody, snappy, even depressed.

And this is the thing about technology – like Nietzsche points out; it is now manufacturing people’s desires. Their thoughts and actions are governed by the little devices in their pockets, or in their homes, telling them how to use reach prepaid card what they want and what they should do.

Companies, of course, are taking advantage of this with their exploitation of people by means of marketing and advertising. Outlets such as Facebook provide adverts on the right hand side of their page, based on a catalog of your likes and dislikes as per your activity. In other words, it knows what you wants and shows it to you in the most alluring way – manufactured desire.

The sad thing is, this is only the beginning of our technological advances, which is said to be progressing at an exponential rate. One can only imagine what kind of manipulation the future holds.

Growing up, kids are always told that it’s hard work and perseverance that will get them ahead in life. However, in the last few years, a new factor has been added into the equation – money.

It seems the key to success, as of late, has become what kind of education a person receives. A good education means tons of recruitment opportunities, which means tons of job offers. Any one else trying to break into a business without the necessarily credentials will find it annoyingly difficult to do so, no matter how smart or hard working they are. Even we can continue studies through online college degrees course.

So, where does money factor into all of this? College tuitions are through the roof and parents are putting in everything they have to ensure that their kids get a good education, which in an essence means that they are set for life. Why not put kids into colleges one can afford? Because the newest developments indicate that job placements are best from the more high-end colleges, meaning more money is involved.

Sure, there are scholarships available for those exceptional students whose hard-work and perseverance got them this far, but due to recent economic conditions, the number of scholarships given out is unfortunate – tons of extremely talented and deserving kids are turned down from these institutions, thereby making it that much harder for them to be able to get a secure job in the future.

As horrible as it is, this is the sad truth of the future. Without the financial support required for a top educational institute, it’s becoming increasingly harder to get a job in today’s job market.

No matter whether you’ve known your girlfriend for a week or since grade school, the actual event of proposing is a big deal. Are you ready to spend the rest of your life with her? Okay, so how are you going to pop the question?

The moment you ask her to marry you and she says yes (of course she’s gonna say yes, bro) is going to be a memory you both replay and tell about the rest of your lives. First off, you’ve got to get the ring. Check out engagement.jrdunn.com for a nice selection.

Next up, you’ve got to find the right way to do it. Make sure it’s something that will be meaningful to both of you. Do you both play guitar? Jam for a bit and if she asks for a pick, offer her a ring. Something like that.

Where it happens is important, too. Is there a place you both love, or a location that holds special significance? Take her there. Surprise her with the question. Yes, she probably has an inkling that it is coming, but girls still like to be taken unawares with this sort of thing.

Make sure to plan it out well so that things go off without a hitch. Remember, though, it’s okay if it doesn’t. In The Office, Jim Halpert plans to propose to his girlfriend at a company party, with fireworks, a band, the whole shebang. In the end however, he proposes in the rain, at a gas station, halfway between his work and her school.

While that may not be exactly what you want to do, the important thing is that your proposal is about you asking your girl to spend forever with you, and the time and place of asking her pale in comparison to the magnitude of the question. Good luck!

Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, these are all holidays that have a very traditional celebration to them – people around the world mostly do the same thing for the most part on these holidays; it’s a means of unifying people of the world with the concept of tradition.

However, there is one holiday that is celebrated throughout the world – but every person has a different way of commemorating it, based on his or her own preferences. This holiday is Valentine’s Day.

Most people go the conventional route for their loved ones on this day – the exchanging of flowers, cards, chocolates, etc is common. For this reason, Valentine’s Day is a very commercialized event in countries such as the United States and Canada. It’s a big day for producers because of the amount of consumption on this day.

Some Asian traditions like to celebrate Valentine’s Day by gifting articles of clothing (a popular one being necktie for men) rather than flowers of chocolates.

Some people go the other way and have Anti-Valentine’s day celebrations. For whatever reason, people going the Anti way decide to dress in black often and host Anti-Valentine’s day gatherings where relationships are not appreciated. Naturally, the market exploits on this as well and there are tons of Anti-Valentine’s Day merchandize on the market for those so inclined. It truly is a consumer driven holiday.

Until it was banned recently in France, some people celebrated Valentine’s Day with a custom called “drawing for”. This involved a large bonfire where women would throw in pictures of their ex-lovers that they were unhappy about.

Whatever way it is celebrated, the bottom line is – there always is a celebration involved with this day, be it happy or sad.

Modern households must have cell phones. In fact, cell phones are so essential that many households are ditching landline phones altogether. Parents use their cell phones to stay in touch with family, keep on top of work and keep tabs on their kids, while youngsters view the technology as an indispensable connection to the outside world.

If everyone in your household has their own phone, then it can be a good idea to look into family cell phone plans to help reduce costs and keep track of all calls.

The modern communications market offers a wide range of cell phone packages, so carrying out some research before beginning to shop can be a good idea. There are three essential areas for the consumer to consider before committing to a new cell phone plan:

Contracts-Consumers need to think about what and how they wish to pay for phones. Pre-paid options are great for limiting call time, while contract phones offer uninterrupted service.

Coverage-Customers will want a cell phone plan with a network that has a good coverage record in their area. Choosing a great plan from a provider with poor coverage will leave the customer feeling frustrated and disconnected. It is also imperative to investigate the geographical limits on coverage because clients can end up paying for roaming services when they are away from home.

Usage-Consider how the phones will be used and how often they will be used. Do you want a contract that favors voice calling, Internet use or SMS and multimedia messaging? If phones are for emergencies only, then look into a contract for limited usage, but be aware that going over prescribed limits can prove expensive.

Once you have figured out the answers to these questions, you are ready to approach the professionals, such as the helpful and knowledgeable team at www.mycricket.com, to learn more about available plans.

Technology, such a powerful word, it can mean many things to many people. One thing that we can all agree on is that technology is constantly changing. Over the years we have seen several generations of technology. By the 1970’s there was a variety of technological items like television, portable radios and video games available to the mass public at a somewhat affordable level.

The fist mass produced video game consoles were made by companies like Atari had games like pong. Today we have several different consoles available that play and endless supply of games and even connect to the internet. We have moved from a large and bulky console that contained few games onto a moderately sized console with inter changeable games to what we have today.

These days it seems like everyone has a cell phone and with a good service provide like mycricket.com, its a blast. Children can be spotted at the park with them. Those too have several generations. The first generation cell phones appeared in the early 1980’s and were very large and bulky today our cell phones are significantly smaller and function as a computer.

Something as mundane as a light bulb has also seen its share of different generations. We have come a long ways from Edison’s light bulb to the energy efficient CFL bulbs common in many of today’s homes and buildings. Generation after generation things become more advanced much like your family has. If you were school aged child during the 1980’s you would not have even dreamed of having anything other than real text books. Today some schools have adopted the use of internet based text books for their students.

No matter how the technology has changed over time it will continue to evolve into something better, faster and with more features or as we call them today, apps. This leaves you to ponder what will the next generation of technology hold?

People are often put into different classes in our society according to the amount of money they are worth. The upper class is always wealthy and the lower classes are characterized as being less wealthy and even poor. Even our careers are indicative of the class we belong to. A manual laborer is perceived as belonging to the lower class and a doctor belongs to the upper class. We all play an integral part in our society and each is no more or less important than the other. Each role in turn supports the other. Without the construction worker or laborer there is no new hospital for the doctor to practice medicine.

We all have the same basic needs. We need food, clothing, shelter and positive personal relationships in order to survive. You can live in a mansion or a one room shack, you are still a person. We can all contract the same disease or illness. The flu does not care what class you belong to. A drunk driver has no way of telling what class you belong to as he crosses the line into oncoming track and hits a car. We are all subject to the same possible events in our lives.

The value of your bank account or your net worth says nothing about you as a person. There is countless examples of how both classes behave badly, from some drifter who kidnapped a child to the investor who ran off with everyone’s money. We are all human and make errors just the same. The bottom line? We are all the same, we bleed and pee and eat and love.

Different classes seem to enjoy different pastimes. The lower class might enjoy NASCAR while the upper class might enjoy the Kentucky Derby. The point is that we all enjoy having fun. Every morning the sun shines upon all of us equally, there is no judgment or labels, just us people and sunshine.

There’s a reason the South is renowned. The cobblestone streets and historic buildings have a tangible history, and its beauty so abundant its even carried on the air by blossoming magnolias. The southern states’ charm and stunning surroundings are well loved by their populations and admired by visitors. But the South isn’t just living history and gorgeous vistas—it’s grown up gracefully with the years.

Raleigh, North Carolina was named for the famous English spy and explorer Sir Walter Raleigh, but that’s not exactly why so many people have chosen to reside in Raleigh. The home of Duke University and UNC-Chapel Hill, Raleigh has become one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas of the country. Forbes magazine named Raleigh one of the nation’s best places for business and careers, and both Money magazine and MSNBC named it a Best Place to Live. Why all the accolades? Simply put, Raleigh’s standards of quality and living are high, and so is the city’s dedication to a successful future and a successful population.

While perusing Raleigh apartments would be wonderful, Raleigh has more than enough for visitors to enjoy. Besides its beautiful landscape of gently rolling hills, gorgeous green foliage, and abundant opportunities for fishing, golf, horseback riding, boating, and mountain biking, Raleigh is rife with fabulous shopping districts, outstanding restaurants, and diverse entertainment districts. Whether a family vacation, romantic weekend, or getaway with friends, Raleigh has something everyone will love.

While you’re meandering through the lush natural beauty of the South, why not stop in at the other famous cities of the area?

During his famous march, General William Sherman declared Savannah, Georgia too beautiful to burn, and that famous beauty remains today.

Charleston, South Carolina was dubbed the most polite city in the world 10 years in a row. Its breathtaking views, gorgeous mansions, and fascinating history make it only more appealing.

You’ll surely find a few of your own gems while enjoying the beauties of the South.

America is the world’s great melting pot, many different cultures and religions fill our lands. Some families have just come to America and others can trace their roots back multiple generations to the first American settlers. Family Traditions act as a bridge between the past and the present. They help to perpetuate the cultural heritage of your family.

In this day and age we are surrounded with all types of technology and are always looking to tomorrow for what is next. It seems we are always looking forward and forget to look back from time to time. This leaves our past long forgotten and largely ignored. Family traditions help to remind us of who we are and where our family has come from. There is no app you can download to get this kind of information.

Family traditions provide a time for the family as a whole to bond and form close nit relationships that adds value to our individual character. It is nice for a grandmother to tell her granddaughters of how life was when she was a child or for a grandfather, father to share stories of their lives with a teenage son. As we spread our selves globally a family tradition can bring relatives from both near and far away. This will bring you into contact with family members you might never get a chance to see. The elders of one’s family will not be around forever and when they are gone their knowledge is lost unless it is passed on.

You can make a tradition out of anything you want. They not need to be reserved for holidays or special occasions. They need not be costly or extravagant and can be celebrated anytime. It is never too late to start your family a new tradition or bring back an old one. They are an essential aspect to families in general and should be celebrateded and utilized as often as possible.

Are you bored with the typical parties that you and your circle of friends have been throwing for years? Just because you’ve reached a certain age, it doesn’t have to mean that you can’t throw an awesome party! Remember how much fun you used to have at theme parties when you were younger? Why not start a new trend by giving an elegant Victorian dinner party complete with costumes?

The Proper Attire

Of course, nothing makes this type of party complete like the right costume. Unfortunately, most of us don’t have a trunk full of Victorian clothing to choose from. If you’ve worn anything similar for a previous Halloween, this event gives you the perfect excuse to get a little bit more for your money by repurposing the outfit. Otherwise, you can visit sites like costumeexpress.com for the perfect look.

The Perfect Dinner

What would a Victorian dinner party be without the appropriate fare at dinner? This type of dinner was always served in three courses complete with a menu written in French. To be authentic, serve the courses a la Francaise by carving and serving each dish at the table if you’re representing the early Victorian period or a la Russe by serving pre-plated servings to represent the later part of the era. Dishes often included venison and oysters.

Victorian Decor

Of course, no themed dinner party would be complete without the appropriate decorations to set the mood. For any Victorian room, think ornate, elaborate, and completely overdone. The centerpiece could be a fruit pyramid or anything else that would be over-the-top by today’s standards. A few lamps with tasseled and fringed shades should help set the mood.

Complete the party with period-appropriate distractions. Most Victorian dinners were followed by conversation, musical entertainment, card games, and magic tricks. Although the sexes would spend some time alone after dinner, most modern affairs will skip this convention.

Technology is being blamed for the lack of relations between family members these days. People believe that it is because we are distracted from our real lives in order to live within our technology that our humanity is going to be lost. This is not the case at all. While it may seem that we are losing our relationships, in fact we are more close to each other than we have ever been in the past.

In the early colonizing of the country children were not born because we loved our husbands and wanted to bare his children and bring them closer. They were born for the most part in an effort to gain hands or help. Those days were hard back then and any help that could be acquired was acquired by unfortunately, any means necessary. Larger families dictate less time spent personally with each child. Nowadays, we spend up to three times the amount of time than our generations past, even with the advances in technology.

The husband and wife had little time to spend together, they worked hard all day and then like most families back in those days, slept in the same rooms as their children, making it extremely difficult to have the kind of loving and sexual relationships that we have now.

Before we complain about the lack of time we are getting with our families, consider the situations of our families only a hundred years ago. While the lack of time they had with their families was more or less a product of living, it is because they worked so hard and brought forth advancement that we are able to spend so much time with our families now. More time with our friends and families is a wish we all have, but living takes place as well. Consideration of the times and generations past, will help you to appreciate the relationships you have and the time that you do get to spend with your family, rather than resenting the very technology that has allowed us this massive amount of time.

The lifestyles of the upper class include so much variety; it is no wonder that they have their hands in a little bit of everything. They can afford to do so many things to keep from getting bored. They can volunteer for charitable foundations one day and run a multi-million dollar business the next. Boredom is nearly no-existent for the upper class in this country. A lot of people assume that the upper class society have a materialistic outlook on life. This is not always true. As shown in the functions that they incest in, like inner city children and political issues. There is more to a person than what is in their wallet and you should wait to judge if you judge at all.

Many celebrities and millionaires spend a lot of time and or money on charitable activities. Why? Because they can, they have the means to do those things. They can afford to spend the money on the orphans overseas and they can spend time visiting children in hospitals. It is morally wrong for those of us whom are not upper class to judge them based on their wallet. Some of these people have a bigger heart than most middle or lower class people. It is not for us to say that upper class people are materialistic; they can be just as caring and soulful as anyone else.

Putting a title on someone just because of how much money they have in their bank account is the same as judging someone for over eating or lack of money in the bank. Morality dictates that you give a person a chance to prove their personal worth before judging them based on financial worth. It is assumed that money can make you a materialistic person and while that is true in some cases, it is not in all cases.

Lower class children have a less materialistic attitude. Aside from the most obvious reasons, it is not just because they lack the funds to become materialistic or technology to be materialistic; it is because they have more time to focus on the finer things in life such as family, friends and laughter. This is not to say that upper and middle class children do not have an appreciation for family and the like, but lower class children have less of an opportunity to become materialistic.

Lack of materials equal lack of materialism, it is an equation that cannot be duplicated in any other class. Lower class children may wish for the coolest clothing or the coolest toys, but they also understand the value of these items. They understand that you have to work hard for “things”. This is a lesson that most parents of middle and upper class children strive to teach their kids.

Lower class families have a tendency to exercise a few traditions that most other upper and middle class families do not. They tend to eat together more often as the technology available to them is limited, which means they do not have as many distractions. They can be a closer family than you would find elsewhere, simply because of the lack of distractions. Again this is not to say that all upper and lower class families are not as close. Every parent regardless of class wants to make sure that their children understand the true value of life and traditions.

The most important things in life do not come out of a perfectly wrapped box, but from the laughter of families around the dinner table, holding the hands of the ones you love and things of that nature. When you are on your death bed, you are not going to regret not having the things you wanted, but not spending more time with those you loved. That is how you know the true meaning of life and how you should live your life.

It’s no mystery that the consensus this past decade or so is that the middle class of America was left behind. Not good news for the long recession/recovery. After all, it makes sense to assert that the middle class is the backbone of the United States. So why let it fall by the wayside?

The question then remains: what is the government doing about the middle class? It’s obvious college has become even more important especially with the onset of some of the latest rage in education trends, such as online degrees. But there’s still obviously more work to be done. Here’s the news: January 25th, 2010, President Obama himself laid out the proposals for strengthening the middle class for better resources regarding college, tax credits, and sustainable jobs. The key is a larger middle class; the larger it is, the more advanced the country gets.

First off, President Obama offered an increase in the child tax credit, offering even more of a safety net for the middle class regarding income. Secondly, funds have been proposed for an increase when it comes to child care. The basic truth is it actually costs more now to have children taken care of while parents go to work. The less money spent, the more money to stimulate the economy. When it comes to college–as is a big deal with the middle class–President Obama also proposed a promise to never have Student Federal Loan payments go above 10 percent of the family income. It essentially protects the family’s finances from falling behind. That, of course, allows for stimulation of greater increase in loans to provide for schooling, thereby increasing the number of students in college.

While it’s no mystery that the middle class needs support, it still remains a mystery on how it will all shape up. Currently, these endeavors are still being followed. The plans have been developed; now all we have to do is wait for the future.

Raising a middle class child in an upper class environment can be as tough as warding off swarming bees. Children are delicate little creatures and we want to keep them safe, even if it means giving them things to make them happy in order to keep them from shedding a tear. It is your job as their mother, father or guardian to teach them the value of life and the value of “things”. The accumulation of “things” is not as important as the accumulation of memories. This is a very hard lesson to teach our children, because as parents it is our first instinct is to give them everything and anything they ask for, unfortunately we cannot do that. Not just because we could spend ourselves into a financial whole, but because you are teaching them that everything will just be handed to them if they ask, and that is not a very valuable life lesson.

A materialistic child will come to expect the world to hand them what they want whenever the mood strikes them. This will also lead to selfishness and lead them to not appreciate the things in life that are truly important, such as love and life. At a young age, children crave nothing more than the attention of their parents. So give it to them freely. Spending time with your child often will give them an appreciation of family that they would not get otherwise. DO not buy them the latest and greatest toy because you feel guilty for not playing with them the day before, this will lend a hand in teaching them the materialistic lifestyle.

Raising children is hard, but raising them to be conscientious is even harder. They need to know that money does not grow on trees and that spend time with family can be just as rewarding as getting a new toy. It is a delicate balance and it is our job to help them understand that balance as best wee can.
